Terms of Service

Last updated: January 2026

Welcome to Stay Ready. By using our service, you're joining a community of households committed to emergency preparedness and mutual support.

The Stay Ready Network

Stay Ready is more than an app - it's a network of connected households that support each other before, during, and after emergencies. When you use Stay Ready, you agree to be part of this community with these principles:

  • Mutual support: The network works because members help each other. Share your safety status during emergencies so your network knows you're okay.
  • Honest information: Keep your emergency plans and supply kit information accurate. During emergencies, your network may rely on knowing what resources are available.
  • Respect connections: Only invite people you know personally. Don't spam invitations or misuse the network for non-emergency purposes.
  • Privacy respect: Information shared within your network is for emergency preparedness only. Don't share others' information outside the network.

Using Stay Ready

Account Requirements

To use Stay Ready, you must:

  • Be at least 13 years old (or have parental consent)
  • Provide accurate account information
  • Keep your login credentials secure
  • Notify us if you suspect unauthorized access

Emergency Alerts

Stay Ready delivers emergency alerts from the National Weather Service and other official sources. These alerts are provided as-is. While we strive for accuracy and timeliness:

  • Always follow official emergency instructions from local authorities
  • Don't rely solely on Stay Ready for emergency notifications
  • Maintain multiple methods of receiving emergency alerts (local radio, TV, etc.)

Network Connections

When you connect with another household:

  • Both parties must accept the connection
  • Either party can disconnect at any time
  • Shared information (like safety status) becomes visible to connected households
  • You're responsible for who you invite to your network

Your Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Use Stay Ready only for legitimate emergency preparedness purposes
  • Keep your emergency plans and contact information up to date
  • Respond to safety check-ins from your network during emergencies when possible
  • Not use the service to harass, spam, or harm others
  • Not attempt to access other users' data without authorization
  • Not reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code

The free tier includes core emergency preparedness features for one household. Free accounts have access to real-time alerts, basic emergency plans, and network connections.

Pro Subscription

Pro subscriptions are billed monthly or annually. You can cancel at any time, and your subscription will remain active until the end of the billing period. We don't offer refunds for partial billing periods.
